Ethical Consumption

Go UK! The country has halved its consumption of plastic bags in just two years due to consumers rejecting their unnecessary baggage. Since most plastic bags cannot be recycled and take about 500 years to decompose, this type of waste has long been recognized as a huge problem. Thankfully, with increased consumer awareness and the ‘trendi-fying’ of carrying a reusable bag, the use of plastic in the UK has plummeted from 870 million to 450 million between 2007 and 2009.
